Sarah Davis

Sarah Davis started training to dance at the tender age of two. Her dream was always to become a ballerina, so she worked hard at studying classical ballet until the age of eighteen achieving  all her ballet exams, competed in dance festivals and performed in many childrens shows.

At the age of twelve as well as the ballet training, Sarah developed a great interest in ballroom and latin american dancing and eventually started competing with her dance partner all over the country winning numerous trophies.

From then on she turned her attentions to 'salsa dancing' and for more than ten years has been teaching and performing professionally in many shows and congresses all over the world. In 2002 Sarah was a finalist in the world professional championships. She was also chosen to dance in the film  'Born Romantic'.

Simon Green and Dee

Simon first encountered Salsa in 1994. As an athlete and lover of latin jazz, the combination of raw energy and elegance of the dance made him feel as if he had 'come home'. So he set off in pursuit of tutelage - not easy  as salsa was almost exclusively danced by  Latinos at that time in England. Simon finally discovered a wonderful Columbian dancer and teacher and for the next three years as well as studying ballroom and latin, watched, listened and learned from the master.

In 1997 he began to attend Elder Sanchez's classes, and was initially railroaded into teaching. Having practised as a clinical tutor in his professional life and teaching yoga and chi kung for several years, teaching dance seemed a natural progression. From then on he started teaching regularly in Tunbridge Wells and all over the South East of England, including adult education. Simon's outstanding knowledge has enabled him to teach many different styles of Salsa, which have included 'open style' in the 90's,' LA Cross Body Lead' in 2000's and more recently he has embraced the Cuban style and Le rueda de casino.

Simon's aim when teaching is twofold: to pass on technical precision while allowing free expression, and to insil authenticity of the music with the movement expressed by the student.

Simon's greatest inspirations in Salsa are Julio Martinez and Luis Vasquez  from  whom he learnt the 'cross body lead' concept. Luis demonstrated that it is possible to be an outstanding dancer and be able to treat those you teach as respected human beings.

Andy Blake

Andy is the newest member to join our team. By trade he is a top class music producer and has recorded with many famous singer song writers. Andy has been dancing Salsa for two years. He started  dancing at  a London club where he was given a great grounding for the basics. As time went on and Andy became more and more addicted to this dance,  he realized he had to find out more about this incredible dance.  His turning point came when he went to a Salsa club in Barcelona  Spain. He was spell bound by the way the Spanish people moved their bodies to the beat of the music. Since then he has trained every day, lost 3 stone in weight, worked tirelessly on technique to improve his dance and gained a certificate for teacher  training  in Latin dance.
